Greenfield Wisconsin Man Threatens To Blow Up Neighborhood

A Greenfield Wisconsin man threatens to blow up his house and the entire neighborhood because of money problems and upcoming foreclosure of his home.

After letting his problems build up he decided to unhook the gas lines to his stove and allowed the entire home to fill up with gas.  The entire neighborhood could have blew up because all of the homes are attached to the same gas lines.

His reasoning was because of financial problems and his home was scheduled to be foreclosed on Monday Feb. 22, 2010.  I call this panic mode, most of us would probably do something that be considered an emotional response, but we have to start thinking instead of reacting when faced with emotion.

If you find yourself in financial trouble the first thing you should do it start thinking of a way out not hurting yourself or someone else.  Stop Spending Money!  Stop Charging The CREDIT CARDS – and close them and cut them up.

Don’t get me wrong I’ve experienced financial trouble and my first reaction was emotional and then I learned that emotional responses can only hurt your chances.  Emotional responses can make your think illogical about how to fix the problem.  Emotional responses lead to only thinking of the problem not the solution.

My advice figure out your situation and make a plan.  You’ll find a solution to your financial problems, be prepared to downgrade your lifestyle in the meantime.

Murder Because Of Debt

A very disturbing trend is on the rise. Families that find themselves with overwhelming debt are resorting to unbelievable measures to escape the pain!

Recent Headlines/Stories:
A suicide note left open and held down with salt and pepper shakers was found on the kitchen counter. In it, 42-year-old Jihad Hassan Moukalled expressed remorse about gambling debts and “clearly indicated he was sorry he had to take the lives of his wife and children,” Police Chief William Dwyer said. The victims were identified as his wife, Fatima, 31; daughter Aya, 7; son Adam, 5; and daughter Lila, who would have turned 3 on Saturday. Struggling Business Dwyer said Moukalled, who owns an Oak Park printing business, put his gambling debts at close to $100,000, “but I’m sure it’s much higher.”

FREDERICK, Md. — A Maryland father who shot his wife and three children to death and then killed himself struggled with depression, had $450,000 in debt and nearly decapitated his kids after they had died, Frederick County Sheriff Charles Jenkins said Tuesday.

LOS ANGELES — Ervin and Ana Lupoe had planned to move closer to family in Kansas to weather the financial storm their lives had fallen into. But a bounced check to the Internal Revenue Service last week may have changed those plans, police detectives said Wednesday, digging the couple deeper into mounting mortgage debt. Instead of building a new life, Mr. Lupoe killed his wife and five children hours before shooting himself in the head on Tuesday morning.

These families didn’t get into debt overnight and but I believe they were under the impression that they could fix it overnight.  Because we live in a “Get It Now…Get It Fast…Pay Later” society.  Many families that find themselves with overwhelming debt think they can file bankruptcy, debt consolidate or refinance their way out of their debt problem.

But they are mistaken!  Even if they were to file for bankruptcy or debt consolidate they will find themselves right back in trouble within 6 months to a year and their problems are usually double as bad as they were.

Getting out of debt takes a total mindset change.  You must be willing to stop buying things on credit and start to live on a budget and start paying down your debts.  Yes there are strategies that you can use as you move forward but you must start with a those two things first.

Suicide and Depression Due To Debt

Severe debt can cause depression and even suicide
Some just can’t seem to find a way out

By Emily Starbuck Gerson
Getting depressed over an increased debt load is normal, experts say. Typically the situation is temporary and as the debt lightens, so does the depression. There are those, however, who don’t see a way out of their financial mess and become so despondent they contemplate or attempt suicide.

Today’s economic climate is enough to depress anyone:

A record 272,171 homes foreclosed in July 2008 alone.
Over the past year, the number of unemployed people increased by 1.6 million — bringing the number of total unemployed to 8.8 million.
79 million people are struggling to pay medical debt.
The average college student graduates with nearly $20,000 in debt.

Domestic Violence Up Due To Debt

Recent news report state that domestic violence murders are up due to the problems families are having with debt. The reported stated that the longer an individual was unemployed the risk increased that they would be involved in some type of domestic violence acts due to their stress.

Over the years people have committed suicide, theft and murder over their debt problems. The stress can be overwhelming when you have to put food on the table, pay the electric bill, heat bill, car repairs, cable bill, clothing, fuel, credit card bills, car payments, mortgage, etc.

This proves the point that I’ve always tried to make about debt. You must lower or totally eliminate your debt. Imagine if you had a pile of cash for emergencies and you lost your job, wouldn’t you feel alot better about re-establishing yourself? Of course you would! If you’re currently experiencing any type of stress due to your debt you need to get with someone you trust that can help you resolve your debt problems.
