What type of debt is this? Credit card, auto? Also have you been making payments or are you behind? If you’ve been making payments and are not behind it is very difficult to make them settle. Don’t stop paying them to try to make them settle. A better option is to keep working up the line for a supervision that can review your situation and allow you to make an acceptable settlement offer. i owe 9000 and i cant get them to take a payoff for less is this normal or i just dont pay them ?
