Debt Collectors may have pushed it too far! Now debt collectors can’t come into court without all the paperwork proving that the individual actually owes the debt.

For years debt collectors have purchased debt for pennies on the dollar. Some of these debts are unproven and where only collectable because the individual in question didn’t show up to court to contest the summons.

Currently this action is only in Maryland the concept works everywhere. If you are being sued or threaten to be sued by a debt collector that has purchased your old debt.

You should contest the debt from the first letter they send you in the mail. Don’t wait for them to summons you to court.

If you’ve already been summons to court you must immediately answer the summons point by point for every question that the debt collector ask for in the summons. And make sure you send it to the court and the debt collector attorney before the deadline date.

This will allow you more time to build a defense and sometimes it will make them go away if they don’t have the proof needed to win in court.
