Whitney Houston Dead at age 48

by Steven on February 12, 2012

Today we have heard the sad news of Pop and R&B Superstar singer Whitney Houston was found dead at a Hollywood, California at the Beverly Hilton Hotel (Feb. 11, 2012).

Whitney Houston hit the scene in the late 80’s and 90’s with list of #1 singles. She starred in the movie the ‘Body Guard’ with Kevin Costner and we mostly remember her for the singing of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. She made that into a #1 hit song that year.

After wedding to another R&B Superstar Bobby Brown from the Hit Group New Edition Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown started on a downward spiral. They were heavy alcohol and drug users. Because they had a lot of money it seemed that it was only getting worse.

Whitney Houston had been seen around town with Bobby looking stung out and she wasn’t singing anymore. At a past Grammy Award show Whitney Houston was trying to make a comeback and when she took the stage we could all see that it wasn’t the same Whitney Houston.

She had just finished a remake of the movie ‘Sparkle’ and she had a lot of deals on the table including a newly released album.
